Seven Months--April 21st-May 20th the Move Cross-Country

Lot's happening this month! Aidan began crawling forward right as the movers arrived. After being cooped up in the car with a few breaks on blankets along the way--he had a ball each night crawling non-stop to explore the hotel rooms! I (Lyndsay) had food poisoning the second night and every time I threw up I woke Aidan up and had to put him back down to sleep. Needless to say, driving on 2 hours of sleep and fueled by sprite was fun. We made it to Fort Carson to visit Ali and Caleb. Had fun going in to Manitou Springs, to a dog park with Paddi, Garden of the Gods, and just hanging out with the soon to be new parents! We swung through to see Gordy, Diana, Laura, Ian, and their new addition Koshka outside of D.C. Aidan woke up and watched Gordy demonstrate his model train set and town. He liked it until the lights were turned off and we saw the town "at night." Choo-choo! We were able to check out the apartment Denise, Aidan, Paddi and I will move in to at the end of May. We spent time catching up with my sponsor parents, CAPTs MJ and Dave--and of course we got all the gouge about what's been happening at good ol' USNA. We ended up in Alex's hometown--visiting family and friends. Lots of fun with Julie's 40th birthday and spending my first mother's day with Dottie & Julie and family up in Jersey. Whew! Aidan did ok spending over a month in his pack and play. At the end of our visit mid-May Aidan began pulling himself up to standing on Grammy's fire place hearth. It was fun watching Aidan play with the same toys Julie, Alex, Jenna & Rachel played with as a baby. The girls, especially Rachie, loved meeting their boy cousin. We even had fun bouncing all together on their new trampoline!
