Here is Aidan laughing after lunch today. On the menu he had solids: avocado, canteloupe, & organic green veggie puffs along with Happy Baby--gobble/gobble & paradise purees (potato, sweet potato, turkey, squash, apple, millet, prunes, bananas, mango, peach, and amaranth). Yum-Yum! We have spontaneous laughing a couple times a day. One of us starts to laugh--the other follows...and when Denise is here it is even funnier, because we will all be laughing (like 2, 3, 4, minutes at a time) and we don't know what we're laughing at! Baby's laughter just makes any petty concerns, to do lists, or anything that is not allowing you to be right now in the moment just drop away. Essentially, we are learning how to make time stand still. Amazing.
And here is Aidan dancing to Michael Jackson's "Bad." Unfortunately, whenever I try to tape him he knows and stops dancing so this is the best one so far....stand by for more dancin'! The back story on MJ and Aidan is that we were first listening to his essential hits in my car on the way back from Whole Foods. He heard "Rockin' Robin" and he was watching himself in the mirror and bee-bopping along in his carseat for about 10 minutes straight. Head shaking, arms waving, and feet bopping to the beat. Giggles galore! It was so wonderful to witness and hilarious for all in the car. His two favorites are "Rockin' Robin" and "Bad." Even if we play drums, sing songs, or the radio is on right now if you ask Aidan if he's dancin' then away he goes shaking his head one way, his body the other, waving his arms, slappin' a table to the beat, or picking up one leg and shaking it! His face is precious, so I'll try to take a video of just all of his expressions--but I'm telling you if he sees me with the camcorder on--he stops dancing!
