Six Month Birthday--March 21st!

Happy half Berfday to me, happy half berfday to meeee, happy half berfday to me---ee, happy berfday tu me!

My second toofle is coming in..., I don't really mind until 5pm, when all I want is cuddles from mommy. No one else will do, because she knows what teething toys and what songs to sing to keep me distracted...

Today we celebrated by going to Splash Time at the pool, I zonked out for a bit afterwards. Then, we played outside in the sun after my bath. And then mom put on a hand-me-down outfit from James Avery...and we found out it is for "18 month olds!" Yikes. I was like, "what-ev's mama and dada, I'm a growin' boy!" Dada and mama told me what a cutie-pa-tootie I was so I did a lot of posing for the camera with my monkey explorer hat on, hiding under my blanket, trying to get Paddi to lick me...

I also got to see Levi, my little buddy, two times today! At the pool and then at the mexican restaurant, where I acted the big boy (after I nursed in the parking lot, I was getting kinda futzy, the teeth, you know...) and ate some rice cereal sitting up!

What a day!

Oh, and did I tell you about my first kiss? Elena, one of my friends, low crawled right up to me and placed her forhead in my face. What could I do, but chow down licking? That happened on Friday.

The day after my half birthday mom put together my polar bear and penguin sit to crawl toy, so I've been on the floor figuring out if I like licking the balls and chasing after them, or pushing the polar bear's nose so it sings. (One day he'll figure out how to put the ball in the polar bear's mouth so the penguins can dance as he watches it go down the shoot.., one day, soon!)

Paddi, where are you? I want to play with your fur now!

Five Months--Feb 21st-Mar 20th

So, many more firsts this month too...imagine that! At the beginning of 5 mos., Aidan weighed in at 18lbs 8 oz--he was still fitting in to some 6 month outfits, and then all of a sudden they were all too tight in the tooshie. He has some amazing ham hocks and just loves to bounce in his Johhny Jumper all day long. In his walker--he stands, scoots backwards, and attempts to jump. On your lap, he stands and jumps away. In the pool at Splash Time....on your lap he jumps. See a pattern here? He began the Johnny Jumper on the last day of month 4...and two days later had his first blister on his big piggie, due to his pirouettes. Either from when I do Pilates or Alex does his push-up workouts--our baby loves the plank position. We've even begun to time how long he can do the front leaning rest. Gramma Mee-Mee visited again at the beginning of the month, and Julie, Alex's big sis and Aidan's Auntie, came out mid-month. We had lots of fun with Julie going on a long walk, to the Fort Huachuca Museum, to the pool, and to Bisbee. He's still scooching backwards, but will hover on all fours rocking back and forth. He did dump forward on his head twice when Julie was here, scaring himself a bit--but any day he's gonna go forward! And, he likes rice cereal! He also loves sticking out his tongue and waiting until you do it back to him. You can see in some pics that he has an "o" face, we're not sure where that came from--but he throws it at you all day long as he waits for you to make him laugh. Aidan's bottom left tooth is popping up, and he seems none to bothered by the dreaded teething process--yet. And, he loves to talk about "mom." "Mom, mooom, momma, mooom...." he keeps going until we move him on to his next activity. Besides the holding handfuls of hair, the most endearing item he's begun this month is to raise his arms when he wants to be lifted. He adores Alex, and with moon eyes and a silly half smile on his face, will wait tirelessly until Alex "notices" him. Whereby Alex will proceed to tickle, make funny faces, or sing a diddy to him--and off bebe Aidan goes giggling. The giggles really get ya! Enjoy.

Four Months--Jan 21st-Feb20th

Four Months Old! Well, we'll try to re-post...Honestly, I have uploaded pictures a couple of times only to have an "error" appear, and then lose all that I had written and uploaded. So, I will try to post again. Aidan keeps me so busy during the day, that I rarely have a few moments of concentrated effort at anything. Since birth he has slept at the most 14 hours (twice) and at the least 9 hours in a day. That is quite less than the "average" newborn sleeping 16-18 hours per day! So, we do lots of things...we bounce in his bouncer, we play rolling in the big bed, we sing, we dance, we read books, we go for walks in the jogger, we play with Paddi (think, grabbing handfuls of Paddi hair), we practice standing and bouncing on his legs, we make lots of cool sounds (razzing, bubbles, oooohs, mmmmms and such), we play in his gym (he especially loves his elephant and the orange monkey that he can detach and chew on), scooting backwards in his pooh walker, sitting in his bumbo and beating out a tune with wooden spoons, chewing on soft books, feeling everything with his hands and mouth, swing in his Aquariaum swing, gum rings and soft books, splashing and eating his ducky during bath time, and at the end of the month lifting up on all 4's and skooching backwards. He also says "Moooooooom" when he is done with an activity and wants me to change his activity. At the beginning of the month he was 16 lbs 14 ounces...(and I know what he weighs at 5 months--wait for that post!) He's outgrown all of his 3-6 month outfits bypassing quite a few and some only being worn once. The cloth diapers don't help, they add to the bug look with a big tooshy--we joke and say it is helping him to sit up unassisted sooner... The days are flying by, one day he is small and the next he's HUGE! Where'd the timego? Hopefully, you can be a part of his progress and watch him grow through these pictures, across the miles. And he has quite the hamhocks. I digress again, enjoy the pictures of Bebe Aidan!
